Chainlink's Strategic Reserves Swell to $5.7 Million with 706,809 Token Addition
Chainlink has continued to expand its strategic reserves by adding 706,809 LINK tokens in July. This move brings the total value of the protocol's reserves to over $5.7 million, as per data shared by market analyst CryptoJack.
The Chainlink Reserve was established on August 7, 2025, with the goal of promoting the network's long-term growth and sustainability through token accumulation. The reserve uses off-chain business profits and on-chain protocol revenues to buy LINK tokens, aiming to drain the circulating supply and support the network's development.
The latest addition brings Chainlink's total reserves to 5,210,967 LINK tokens. This strategy has been emulated by other crypto protocols, such as Wormhole and World Liberty Financial (WLFI), in an effort to bolster their networks' stability.
Despite the growing pile of assets in the reserve, the LINK price remains stagnant, trading at $8.08, down 84.4% from its all-time high of $52.70 reached on May 9, 2021. The recent price slump is attributed to weak demand in the wider crypto market, affected by macroeconomic conditions.
