Chalom Warns EIP-8363 Could Harm Ethereum's Staking Yield
SharpLink CEO Joseph Chalom has spoken out against Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 8363, which would gradually burn validator staking rewards once staked ETH reaches 60.25 million.
In a warning to the Ethereum community, Chalom argued that this proposal could erode Ethereum's staking yield, a key attraction for institutional investors.
He also expressed concern that it could disrupt DeFi protocols that rely on staking returns and reduce DeFi activity, leading to lower transaction fee burns and potentially increasing ETH inflation.
