Changelly is an instant crypto exchange and platform for cryptocurrency purchases and cashouts that has been operating since 2015. The service allows users to swap over 1,200 cryptocurrencies across more than 200 blockchains without the need for a login or account creation.
The platform operates as a liquidity aggregator, pulling quotes from multiple providers for each trade and routing it through the best available rate at that moment. This means that crypto never sits on Changelly's balance sheet, instead moving directly from the sender's wallet to the receiving address provided by the user.
Changelly supports fiat purchases and cashouts using over 20 payment methods, including credit cards, PayPal, and regional options like SEPA and Revolut. However, each fiat partner sets its own purchase fee, so users will pay a different rate depending on which provider is handling their transaction.
The platform's fees work in two ways: floating-rate swaps carry a 0.25% service fee on top of network fees, while fixed-rate swaps include the fee in the quoted price. This means that users have to weigh the trade-off between flexibility and certainty when choosing between the two options.
