Channel 5 Admits Sharing Email List with Hunter Biden Ahead of Meme Coin Launch
Andrew Callaghan's Channel 5 has admitted to handing over its email subscriber list to Hunter Biden ahead of his new meme coin launch on September 9. The outlet confirmed that a CSV containing the email list was provided to Biden, but said that subscribers were removed before any promotional emails were sent.
The connection between Channel 5 and Biden's crypto project prompted the outlet to publicly distance itself from the coin, stating that it had no involvement with the coin and would never advertise cryptocurrency to its followers. Channel 5 also reiterated its stance on cryptocurrency, saying that it does not believe it is a legitimate investment.
Channel 5 confirmed that Biden had asked for access to its mailing list so he could promote a future product, but said that emails from Hunter's team were not sent to any of its public subscribers. The outlet was able to get all information completely removed from the list before the blast was sent.
