Circle Internet Group has been named as Chelsea FC's principal front-of-shirt partner for the 2026/27 season, giving its stablecoin USDC prominent placement on the club's kits. The partnership will be on display when Chelsea hosts Brighton on August 30th.
The deal makes USDC one of the most visible stablecoins in the Premier League, with branding on men's, women's, and academy shirts. This exposure is aimed at increasing mainstream awareness and potential adoption, rather than promoting direct commercial use.
Circle has stated that the sponsorship is not an invitation or inducement to acquire, hold, or trade USDC, nor does it offer any financial services. The company emphasizes the brand placement aspect of the deal, with the goal of connecting with a broader audience beyond traditional crypto enthusiasts.
