Chinese Dominance at IFA 2026: Humanoid Robots Take Center Stage
At IFA 2026 in Berlin, over 1,900 brands from 49 countries are showcasing their latest innovations. Among them, Chinese exhibitors have reached a record high of 932 companies, nearly half of the total. This includes appliance giants TCL, Hisense, and Xiaomi.
The event's innovation zone, IFA Next, has grown to around 300 exhibitors this year. Unitree and AgiBot will be among the humanoid robots walking on the catwalk for the first time in show history. The 'Robots on the Runway' event is scheduled for September 5 at 12:45 p.m. on the Creator Stage.
China has dominated humanoid robot production, accounting for 84.7% of the world's humanoids shipped last year. Unitree is set to list on the Chinese mainland with an IPO subscription date of August 10, valued at almost $5.7 billion. The company's revenue reached $250 million in 2025 and adjusted profit was $87 million, with a net profit increase of 674% year over year.
TÜV Rheinland has certified AiMOGA's Mornine for EU sale, marking the first humanoid to obtain both hardware and software certification. Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management, noted that China's integrated supply chain allows ideas to move from prototype to product faster.
