Circle Acquires Singapore Payments Firm Tazapay for Global Expansion
Circle, the issuer of USDC stablecoin, has announced its plans to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-headquartered B2B cross-border payments company.
The deal aims to expand Circle's global payments infrastructure and increase adoption of USDC. With over $25 billion in annualized payment volume, Tazapay supports transactions across more than 100 markets and works with over 60 banking and fintech partners.
USDC accounts for about 60% of Tazapay's transactions, further solidifying the potential benefits of the acquisition. The transaction is expected to close in 2027 pending regulatory approvals from Singapore's Monetary Authority.
