Circle Acquires Singapore's Tazapay for $400 Million Cross-Border Payments Expansion
Circle, a leading financial technology company, has signed a deal to acquire Singapore-based Tazapay for $400 million in an all-stock transaction. The acquisition gives Circle access to a payments network that operates across APAC and South Asia, with Tazapay processing over $25 billion in annualized payment volume.
Tazapay has been a design partner for Circle's Payments Network since 2025, and the company contributes local payout capabilities across more than 100 markets. The acquisition is seen as a way to expand USDC-based cross-border payments, with Tazapay already settling over 60% of its payment volume in stablecoins.
Circle co-founder Jeremy Allaire said that 'Tazapay has been a design partner for Circle Payments Network since 2025 and we share a deep alignment,' adding that 'We are excited to bring the team in-house.'
The deal requires regulatory approval from MAS, and Tazapay's customers will not see any changes to their products or services after the acquisition.
