Circle Acquires Tazapay for $400M to Expand Global Payments Network
Circle Internet Group, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, is expanding its global payments network through an all-stock deal to acquire Singapore's Tazapay for $400 million.
The acquisition, expected to close in 2027 subject to approvals from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), will allow Circle to extend its ability to send and receive payments worldwide around the clock.
Tazapay handles over $25 billion in annualized payment volume, works with more than 60 banking and fintech partners, and offers local payout coverage in over 100 markets.
About 60 percent of Tazapay's transaction volume already settles in stablecoins, including USDC.
