Circle Axes USDC and CCTP V1 Support on Noble Blockchain
Circle has announced that it will discontinue support for USDC and Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol V1 (CCTP V1) on its Noble blockchain. As part of this transition, new minting of USDC through Circle Mint will end on October 13, 2026, with the final contract pause scheduled for January 12, 2027.
Circle has divided the Noble exit into three stages. From September 10 to October 12, existing users can continue using Noble services through Circle Mint without any changes. However, new USDC minting will stop on October 13, and redemptions will remain available until January 12, 2027.
Noble holders have several exit routes: they can deposit USDC into a centralized exchange that supports the network, use a decentralized exchange to swap for an available asset, or burn USDC on Noble using CCTP V1 and mint an equivalent amount on another supported blockchain. Circle has not published a list of known exit venues.
The company plans to start reducing CCTP V1 capacity on October 31, eventually taking the available limit to zero. After December 1, Noble users may only be able to send CCTP transfers to networks that still accept CCTP V1 burns. All Noble CCTP routes and the USDC contract are scheduled to pause on January 12.
