Circle Axes USDC Support on Noble in CCTP V2 Transition
Circle is retiring its support for USDC on the Noble blockchain as part of its transition to the next-generation cross-chain standard, CCTP V2. This move affects Circle Mint customers and retail USDC holders who have their coins on Noble.
New minting of USDC on Noble through Circle Mint will be disabled on October 13, 2026. Redemptions for existing USDC balances will remain open until January 12, 2027. To qualify for manual redemption, holders must meet Circle's compliance and security requirements, hold their USDC in a holder-controlled wallet, and have a wallet address captured in the pause-day snapshot.
Circle framed this move as part of its transition to CCTP V2, which it describes as having faster finality and stronger security. The Noble blockchain will not receive CCTP V2. Circle will publish a shortlist of known exit venues for those that integrated CCTP V1 for Noble to remove before January 12, 2027.
This wind-down does not signal the end of Circle's activity in the Cosmos ecosystem. Injective and other IBC-connected chains remain active Circle partnerships, and USDC continues to serve as a settlement asset across Cosmos DeFi broadly.
