Stablecoin issuer Circle has expanded its presence on Plasma, a Layer 1 blockchain focused on stablecoin payments. The company has added native support for USDC and EURC, as well as Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) and Bridge Kit.

Circle published mainnet contract addresses for both tokens on August 28. As of that date, the maximum total supply of $USDC was 4,654,322.737666 with six holders, while $EURC had a total supply of 12,866.64 with five holders.

Eligible institutional traders and teams will be able to access fiat on/offramps for USDC payments and settlement through Plasma. Additionally, users can access USDC through the network's stablecoin app and card, while developers can integrate both $USDC and $EURC into Plasma applications.
