Circle has agreed to acquire Singapore-based Tazapay in a move aimed at expanding its cross-border payments network. The acquisition is set to close in 2027, subject to regulatory procedures including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Tazapay handles over $25 billion in annualized payment volume and has access to more than 100 payment-enabled markets through its partnerships with over 60 banks and fintech companies. The firm's platform utilizes stablecoins in about 60% of its transactions.

Circle plans to leverage Tazapay's infrastructure to expand its own cross-border payments network built around the USDC stablecoin. Tazapay has been a design partner for Circle Payments Network (CPN) since 2025, and its customers can expect no changes to existing services following the acquisition.
