Circle Internet Group (NYSE: CRCL) has received final approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish a national trust bank.

This significant regulatory milestone will bring USDC under direct federal banking supervision for the first time, improving clarity and security for the stablecoin.

The approval sent Circle's CRCL stock up over 14% in pre-market trading, indicating market confidence in the decision.

As a result of this development, USDC adoption is likely to accelerate across crypto, DeFi, and CEX platforms, while strengthening Circle's position for partnerships, fundraising, and future token-related products.
