Circle Ditches USDC Support on Noble Amid CCTP V2 Upgrade
Circle is ending support for USDC and CCTP V1 on the Noble blockchain as part of its migration to Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) V2. The company announced the change, with the Noble USDC contract scheduled to be fully paused on January 12, 2027.
The transition begins on October 13, 2026, when new USDC minting through Circle Mint will be disabled. On October 31, CCTP V1 burn limits on Noble will start decreasing. After this, the final pause of the Noble USDC contract and CCTP routes is scheduled for January 12, 2027.
Circle will take a snapshot of remaining Noble USDC balances on January 13, 2027, before beginning manual redemptions. The company has stated that its wider presence in the Cosmos ecosystem remains unaffected through other networks like Injective USDC and IBC-connected chains.
