Circle Lands $400M Deal for Singapore-Based Payment Network Tazapay
Circle Internet Group has made its largest acquisition since 2018, agreeing to buy Singapore-based Tazapay for $400 million in stock. This deal will add Tazapay's payment network to Circle's global USDC infrastructure.
Tazapay processes more than $25 billion in annual payments across 100 markets and has over 60 banking and fintech partners, with around 60% of its transaction volume involving stablecoins. The company offers local collection and payout rails.
Circle's CEO Jeremy Allaire commented that 'stablecoin settlement is becoming core infrastructure in the global economy.'
