Circle Q2 Revenue Falls Short as Stablecoin Market Slumps
Circle's second-quarter revenue came in below Wall Street estimates, but the company still reported a notable increase in earnings. The stablecoin issuer brought in $701 million in total revenue and reserve income for Q2 of fiscal year 2026, up 7% from last year. Net income from continuing operations also saw a significant jump to $48 million.
Despite missing the average consensus estimate of $713.32 million, Circle's shares rose 5.7% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, surpassing $66.50 per share for the first time this year. However, the company's stock remains down 20% year-to-date due to a stablecoin market slump.
The earnings report precedes the public mainnet launch of Circle's Arc blockchain on September 16, which has attracted over 100 ecosystem and institutional builders. The founding validator cohort for Arc includes major players such as BlackRock and Visa.
