Circle Secures $400M Acquisition of Cross-Border Payments Firm Tazapay
Circle Internet Group has agreed to acquire Singapore-based cross-border payments company Tazapay in a $400 million all-stock deal.
The acquisition will help Circle expand its USDC payments across Asia-Pacific and emerging markets, with Tazapay bringing over $25 billion in annualized payment volume and operating across more than 100 markets.
Tazapay has worked closely with Circle's Payments Network since 2025 and has become an essential part of USDC adoption. The deal will add hundreds of payment endpoints to the network, providing more stablecoin-based payment rails for fintechs, payment service providers, and banks.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Circle will pay for Tazapay with shares of its Class A common stock based on the average closing price over 20 trading days before the deal closes.
