Circle Stock Rallies on Crypto Surge as Arc Token Presale Looms
Circle Internet Group's stock (CRCL) jumped 16% over two days as cryptocurrency and related equities rallied. The surge was largely driven by macroeconomic factors, including Bitcoin pushing past $70,000 and Treasury yields falling.
The company's stock price has been down roughly 43% over the past year and sits about 47% below its 52-week high of $159.47. This recent bounce may be a headline pop inside a downtrend that has burned buyers all year.
Circle acquired fundamental assets from IBM's blockchain patent portfolio in July, which makes it the largest U.S. blockchain patent holder and strengthens its intellectual property base.
The company's Q2 2026 results were mixed, with revenue growing 7% year over year but missing expectations. The Arc token presale is expected to drive revenue growth, with about 75% of presale milestones expected to be recognized in 2026.
