Circle Stock Tumbles After August Rally
Circle Internet Group's (CRCL) stock price has had a wild ride in August, surging by about 44% before dipping to $89.96 on September 1.
The rally was sparked by a combination of factors, including the company's acquisition of IBM's global blockchain patent portfolio and the announcement that its Layer-1 network, Arc, would go live with a public mainnet on September 16.
Wall Street analysts are divided on Circle's future prospects, with targets ranging from $37 to $243 per share.
The company's August news flow included the release of second-quarter results, which showed total revenue and reserve income of $701 million, as well as a net income of $48 million.
