Circle Unveils Arc Blockchain Network with Institutional Payment Support
Circle has launched Arc, a new blockchain network designed to facilitate institutional payments and tokenized financial assets. Scheduled to go live on September 16, Arc is built around USDC and aims to provide a compliance-ready environment for regulated financial institutions and payment providers.
The network has secured the support of major partners including BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC, ICE, Standard Chartered, Galaxy, MoneyGram, Global Payments, SBI Group, and Sumitomo Corporation. These validators will help to facilitate transactions on the platform.
BlackRock plans to deploy its BUIDL (BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund) directly on Arc, allowing it to operate within a dedicated infrastructure for institutional settlements and liquidity management.
