Circle's $32 Trillion in USDC Transfers Doesn't Translate to Direct Revenue
Circle's financial reports reveal that its USDC transfers reached $32 trillion in three months, but most of this activity comes from crypto-native financial operations and does not directly contribute to Circle's revenue.
According to a report by CryptoSlate, citing Coin Metrics and Circle's financial disclosures, reserve income accounted for 95% of Circle's total revenue, at $667.7 million out of $701.3 million. This is largely driven by interest earned on USDC reserves.
The company's Arc blockchain infrastructure aims to develop a more direct source of recurring revenue through its fee system, but whether this translates into meaningful revenue remains unproven.
