Circle's USDC Stablecoin Maintains Market Share Despite Bearish Month for CRCL Stock
Circle's USDC stablecoin maintained its dominance in July 2026, capturing 62% of stablecoin volumes despite a $400 billion decline in total market volume to $1.36 trillion.
Data from Visa shows that Circle's USDC generated $849 billion in volumes during the month, while Tether's USDT came in second with $502 billion in volumes.
The stablecoin volume numbers for July 2026 were down significantly from June 2026, when total volumes reached $1.77 trillion, and USDC's record-breaking $1.2 trillion volumes.
Circle's stock price dropped by 2.54% on July 31 to close trading at $62, marking the end of a bearish month for Circle shares after their biggest monthly decline in history.
