CLARITY Act Could Unlock Institutional Potential for XRP
Ripple's XRP could see increased institutional adoption if the proposed CLARITY Act passes in the Senate, according to software developer Vincent Van Code.
The act aims to address regulatory uncertainty surrounding digital assets by putting classifications into federal law. Currently, institutions are hesitant to hold large XRP positions due to a lack of clear guidance.
Van Code noted that while the 2023 district court ruling in the SEC's case against Ripple reduced legal uncertainty, important regulatory challenges remain possible in the future.
The CLARITY Act would provide much-needed clarity for institutions, potentially supporting broader adoption of XRP. However, Van Code emphasized that this is his personal analysis and not a prediction of the legislation's direct impact on XRP's market price.
