CLARITY Act Crucial for US Leadership in Digital Finance
The passage of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act of 2025 (CLARITY) is crucial for the crypto industry, which still lacks a clear regulatory framework. With inflation rising and the gig economy expanding, more Americans are seeking ways to supplement income and protect purchasing power through cryptocurrency ownership.
According to Caulene MacDonald, chapter president of Stand With Crypto Oklahoma, 52 million Americans own cryptocurrency and are watching the progress of CLARITY in Congress. The act would end the jurisdictional conflict between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), establishing clear rules for digital asset markets and delivering needed protections for developers.
Supporters of CLARITY include prominent financial institutions such as BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, and others representing roughly $30 trillion in global assets. This partnership would strengthen American leadership in digital finance and keep on-chain innovation on U.S. soil, delivering jobs, better technology, and greater security.
