CLARITY Act Delay Could Drag Out Crypto Regulation Uncertainty Until 2030
U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis has sounded the alarm about potential delays in passing the CLARITY Act, a crucial piece of legislation aimed at clarifying regulatory oversight for digital assets in the United States.
The bill, formally known as the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, seeks to establish clear guidelines between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Lummis has expressed concerns that if Congress fails to pass the CLARITY Act by year's end, it may lead to prolonged ambiguity in crypto regulation, potentially extending until 2030.
