Clarity Act Delay: Crypto Industry Faces Narrow Window for Passage
Paradigm's Justin Slaughter says the Clarity Act still has a chance to pass despite being delayed until September. The bill, which aims to clarify the crypto market structure, faced opposition from at least ten senators and was pushed back due to scheduling conflicts.
Slaughter acknowledged that the delay has worsened the bill's odds of passing but remains cautiously optimistic. He noted that the Senate will have a narrow three-week session in September during election season, making it difficult for the bill to move forward.
The crypto industry still needs to persuade policymakers and media voices to support the Clarity Act, Slaughter said. Conservative opinion leaders continue to express doubts about crypto, adding to the challenge of passing the bill.
