CLARITY Act Delayed Until September as Crypto Market Awaits Regulatory Clarity
The Senate has delayed its planned floor vote on the CLARITY Act until September, pushing the digital asset market structure proposal beyond the August recess.
According to Senate Majority Leader John Thune, the delay is due to Democratic lawmakers withholding procedural support, which makes it harder to schedule a floor vote before lawmakers leave Washington.
The legislation, H.R. 3633, aims to establish a federal market structure for digital assets and divide oversight responsibilities between the SEC and the CFTC.
