Clarity Act Makes Last-Ditch Push Ahead of Crucial Senate Vote
Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz says the Clarity Act still has a path forward, despite months of setbacks. The billionaire crypto investor claims that one of the biggest remaining obstacles is the legislation's government ethics language.
'Clarity isn’t dead!! Lots of negotiating over the weekend,' Novogratz wrote on X. 'My instinct is the bill makes it to the floor.'
The Senate Banking Committee advanced the legislation in May by a bipartisan 15-9 vote, and lawmakers released an updated text combining work from the Senate Banking and Agriculture committees in July.
Another revised version of the bill was unveiled on Thursday ahead of Tuesday's vote. The roughly 630-page text contains changes dealing with decentralized finance and other issues.
