Clarity Act Passage Linked to US Job Creation and Economic Growth
Ripple's chief legal officer, Stuart Alderoty, has linked the passage of the CLARITY Act to potential job creation and broader economic growth in the United States.
A vote for Clarity is a vote for jobs and economic growth, according to Alderoty. This comes after the National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) published new research examining crypto's contribution to the U.S. labor market.
The report estimates that the crypto industry supports 232,000 jobs across the country in 2026, with around 34,000 being direct positions at companies such as Ripple and Coinbase. Another 75,000 jobs are supported by suppliers and contractors serving the industry, including law firms, cloud-computing providers, and accounting businesses.
The NCA said the sector contributes more than $55 billion to the U.S. economy and generates approximately $31 billion in worker income. California accounts for about 57,600 supported jobs, followed by New York with 53,800 and Texas with 26,500.
