The CLARITY Act is facing an uncertain future as it runs out of time before Congress goes on recess. With only two working days left, Senate Majority Leader John Thune failed to file the required cloture motion, putting the bill at risk.

One Republican senator has already expressed opposition to the bill over banking concerns - Senator Josh Hawley is the first GOP senator to do so. Despite this setback, some senators remain hopeful that a solution can be found before recess starts.
