Clarity Act Vote Looms as Senate Faces Deadline
The U.S. Senate is set to vote on the Clarity Act on September 15, and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong believes it will pass.
The bill would establish a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and clarify jurisdiction over certain markets.
The cloture vote, which requires 60 votes, is seen as an indication of the bill's chances of passing.
Armstrong thinks both sides got about 90% of what they wanted in the bill, citing Majority Leader John Thune's decision to schedule a vote on September 15.
