Clarity Act Vote Looms Large for US Crypto Market
Ripple's Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty says the fate of U.S. crypto market legislation will be decided on September 15, when a key Senate vote will determine if the Clarity Act advances.
The bill aims to establish a more durable legislative framework for digital assets, which Alderoty believes is necessary to avoid offshoring innovation and protect the 232,000 U.S. crypto-related jobs and $55 billion in economic activity.
Alderoty warns that if the Clarity Act stalls, it could jeopardize these gains and push companies to move outside the U.S., where regulatory frameworks are less certain.
