CleanCore Abandons Dogecoin Treasury, Seeks AI Infrastructure Funding
CleanCore Solutions has exited its position as an official Dogecoin treasury holder after liquidating nearly 463 million DOGE tokens at a significantly lower price. The Nasdaq-traded firm, traditionally focused on aqueous ozone cleaning solutions, had amassed over 733 million DOGE following a successful $175 million private financing round backed by prominent investors.
The company sold the tokens for approximately $33.4 million, far below their previous peak valuation of $188 million. The proceeds from this divestment will be used to finance CleanCore's pivot into artificial intelligence infrastructure through a partnership with AI semiconductor manufacturer Cerebras.
CleanCore's decision to liquidate its Dogecoin position has sparked concerns about the impact on shareholders, who will face significant dilution due to the issuance of 275.8 million new shares. The company's stock price has already declined by around 94% since its peak near $7.
