CleanCore Dumps Dogecoin Holdings to Fund $800M Cerebras Data Center Deal
CleanCore Solutions, a Nasdaq-listed company that makes aqueous ozone cleaning products, has sold most of its Dogecoin holdings to fund a major pivot into AI infrastructure. The company had accumulated over 733 million DOGE after securing a $175 million private investment round from Pantera, GSR, FalconX, and Borderless Capital.
The sale generated $33.4 million, with the tokens sold at roughly $0.072 each. This is significantly lower than their peak value of around $188 million. The funds raised will be used to support an $800 million data center deal with AI chip maker Cerebras, which is expected to cost up to $500 million.
CleanCore's exit from the Dogecoin treasury strategy raises questions about institutional backing for the cryptocurrency as a corporate reserve asset. However, the company's move is seen as a strategic shift driven by liquidity needs and capital requirements, rather than a verdict on Dogecoin itself.
