CleanSpark Abandons Bitcoin Mining for Multi-Billion Dollar Computing Deal
CleanSpark is shifting its focus from Bitcoin mining to high-performance computing in Sandersville, Georgia. The company has signed a 20-year lease with an unnamed global technology firm for its data center, valued at approximately $6.6 billion.
The new tenant's identity remains confidential due to competitive concerns within the industry.
CleanSpark currently uses the site for Bitcoin mining but will transition to high-performance computing in a parallel data center being built nearby.
