CleanSpark Posts Earnings Miss, But Announces Massive AI Lease Deal
CleanSpark Inc., a company in transition from Bitcoin mining to AI data center development, reported its fiscal third quarter 2026 results on August 6, 2026. Despite showing sequential improvement in key metrics, the company missed Wall Street expectations on both earnings and revenue.
The stock declined 5.93% in regular trading to $12.70 but recovered 2.82% in after-hours trading to $13.14 as investors weighed the earnings miss against major strategic announcements. The centerpiece of CleanSpark's strategic transformation was the announcement of a 20-year triple net lease agreement at its Sandersville, Georgia campus.
The Sandersville project encompasses 175 MW of IT capacity with a high investment-grade tenant under a triple net lease structure spanning a 20-year base term. The contracted value reaches $6.6 billion, with potential to expand to $11.6 billion if extension options are exercised.
