CleanSpark Stock Rises 7% on Friday Amid Bitcoin Rebound
CleanSpark Inc.'s stock surged over 7% on Friday after Bitcoin rebounded towards $79,000. The cryptocurrency's price swing of nearly 4% in two hours was likely influenced by hotter-than-expected August inflation data and its implications for a September interest-rate decision.
The company's operational update for August provided additional context for investors. CleanSpark reported that construction is progressing at its Sandersville data center campus, which has $6.6 billion in contracted revenue. ERCOT conditionally classified 585 megawatts of contracted capacity for batch zero baseload designation and 300 megawatts for batch zero studied load designation.
CEO Matt Schultz expressed the company's commitment to working with ERCOT and the Public Utility Commission of Texas, stating: 'We look forward to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to serve the needs of Texans while also delivering for our shareholders and customers.'
