CleanSpark's August Sales Exceed Production by 228 BTC
CleanSpark's August Bitcoin sales exceeded its production by 228 coins, reducing its treasury from 13,931 BTC to 13,703 BTC. The Las Vegas-based miner reported that it mined 593 BTC in August, up from 586 BTC in July, but sold a total of 821 BTC during the month. This includes 77 coins sold at spot prices, 500 coins sold through call exercises, and 244 coins tied to a delta-neutral basis trade.
The average sale price for CleanSpark was $65,420 per Bitcoin, which includes net proceeds and premiums. The company's peak fleet efficiency of 16.07 joules per terahash implies an electricity-only breakeven near nine cents per kilowatt-hour. CleanSpark also reported continued construction at its Sandersville, Georgia data center campus and conditional ERCOT classifications covering 585 MW of contracted baseload capacity in Texas.
The company's average operating hashrate slipped slightly to 38.3 exahashes per second from July's 38.6 EH/s, even as its deployed fleet expanded to 201,269 machines as of August 31. The average daily production came in at 19.12 BTC, with the strongest single day reaching 20.40 BTC.
