CleanSpark's Bitcoin Mining Losses Overshadowed by $6.6B AI Campus Lease Deal
CleanSpark, a company known for its Bitcoin mining operations, has reported a significant net loss of US$239.84 million in its fiscal third-quarter 2026 results.
This marks a sharp contrast to the same period last year, when the company posted a net income of US$257.39 million.
The decline is attributed to losses in Bitcoin mining, which remains a volatile core business for CleanSpark.
However, the company has announced a potential game-changer: a 20-year, US$6.60 billion triple-net lease for its Sandersville, Georgia AI data center campus with an investment-grade technology tenant.
This long-term deal is expected to reshape CleanSpark's investment narrative and future business mix by introducing contracted, non-mining revenue tied to the 175 MW AI data center campus.
