Clearpool Migrates to XRP Ledger, Launches Institutional Credit Fund
Clearpool, a decentralized credit protocol, has abandoned its exclusivity within the Ethereum ecosystem and migrated its core infrastructure to the XRP Ledger (XRPL). This move also entails replacing its native token, CPOOL, with CLEAR at a 1:1 ratio.
The decision was announced on September 11, 2026, and includes a 14-day community discussion period before being submitted to a final vote on Snapshot. Clearpool cited that 99% of the CPOOL supply has already been distributed, leaving the project without reserves to incentivize liquidity in new markets.
The migration is anchored in the launch of XRPL v3, which incorporated native lending mechanisms into the network for the first time. Clearpool seeks to replicate Morpho's model on Ethereum in that space, a platform that accumulated over $14 billion in deposits but oriented toward private credit and real companies.
