Cloud9 Shakes Up Coaching Staff Amid Brutal Losing Streak

Cloud9, one of the most recognizable esports brands and partner to Blockchain.com, has made a sudden change to its VALORANT coaching staff. The organization announced on July 28 that it would bench head coach Immi and hand the reins to assistant coach Wyatt 'Veer' Blevins for the remainder of 2026.

The move comes after Cloud9 posted a dismal 5-11 record this season, including six consecutive losses.

Veer's promotion is seen as an urgent decision, rather than a carefully considered one. As assistant coach since April 2026, he has only just begun to build relationships with the team.

The new head coach will face his first test on July 31 against LOUD in the VALORANT Champions Tour Americas Stage 2.
