CM Global Services Unveils 50-Megawatt AI Data Center Campus in ERCOT Zone
CM Global Services (CMGS) has unveiled Project Santos, a 50-megawatt AI data center campus in the ERCOT South grid zone. The project is being developed in two phases, with the first phase aiming to deliver a 7-megawatt facility by the end of Q1 2027.
The site will offer GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) capacity to customers, eliminating the need for them to bring their own hardware. CMGS is securing NVIDIA GB300 Blackwell GPU capacity to provide dedicated, single-tenant or multi-tenant compute to AI enterprise organizations and neocloud providers.
Shanon Squires, Chief Mining Officer of Compass Mining, stated that Project Santos reflects the company's discipline in standing up infrastructure, while Compass Mining continues to focus on Bitcoin mining services. Vishnu Mackenchery, Managing Director at CMGS, described the project as a new step forward for the company.
