CME Expands Crypto Derivatives to Round-the-Clock Trading
CME Group is expanding its cryptocurrency derivatives market to include 24-hour trading. Starting May 29, the exchange will offer continuous trading in its Bitcoin and Ether futures and options. This move aims to align regulated derivatives with the global price discovery cycle.
The change reflects a broader trend of integrating digital assets into traditional financial infrastructure. CME's regulated framework has attracted institutional investors, who can now hedge portfolios and manage collateral in real-time. The new schedule is set to take effect at 4:00 p.m. Central Time on May 29.
