CME Grabs 17% Share of XRP Futures as Token Rallies 40%
The trading landscape for XRP futures has shifted in favor of CME, the regulated U.S. futures exchange used by professional trading firms and investment managers.
Total XRP open interest fell to about 2.34 billion tokens on Aug. 31 from 2.77 billion on Aug. 17, while XRP's price climbed from $0.99 to $1.38 over the same period.
CME's share of XRP futures exposure rose to roughly 17% from about 10% in mid-August, as the exchange saw an increase of around 36% in XRP open interest.
