CME Group Shuffles Senior Leadership Ahead of CEO Transition
CME Group has announced significant leadership appointments in its finance and legal divisions. The company's current President & CFO, Lynne Fitzpatrick, will become CEO as previously announced, effective March 2027.
Jack Tobin, who has served as Chief Accounting Officer since 2015, will be promoted to Chief Financial Officer. To ensure a smooth transition, Tobin will become Deputy Chief Financial Officer in November 2026 and continue to report to Fitzpatrick.
Matthew Render will succeed Tobin as Chief Accounting Officer. He joined CME Group in August 2026 and has previously held finance roles at Citadel, BP ($0.59 · Live), and Ernst & Young.
John Marchese has been promoted to General Counsel, joining the CME Group management team and reporting to Chairman and CEO Terry Duffy. Marchese has experience in leadership positions at Arthur Andersen LLP and Latham & Watkins.
