Coinbase and Binance CEOs' Price Predictions: More Entertainment Than Certainty

The CEOs of Coinbase and Binance have made various predictions about Bitcoin's price in the past, but their forecasts often follow the market's trend.

Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, predicted that BTC could reach $1 million by 2030 in August 2025 when the price was above $110,000. However, a year later, he reduced his forecast to $300,000 and $400,000 for the same time period.

Changpeng Zhao, former CEO of Binance, said that 'bitcoin will flip gold' in October 2025 but did not provide a specific timeline. He also mentioned that the $1 million per BTC prediction could happen much quicker than in 25 years, and earlier this summer he quoted it as happening within 10 years.

Both Armstrong and CZ have been known to retract their public forecasts when the market changes. Their confidence in Bitcoin's long-term prospects is consistent, but their short-term predictions are often vague or follow the price action.
