Coinbase and Moov Unveil Stablecoin Infrastructure for 1k Community Banks
Coinbase and Moov have partnered to bring stablecoin infrastructure to over 1,000 community banks and credit unions in the US. The partnership combines Coinbase's regulated digital asset infrastructure with Moov's payments platform to offer stablecoin payment acceptance, settlement, and real-time funding.
The new infrastructure will support various use cases, including consumer stablecoin payments, merchant settlements, and payouts. It will also provide businesses and merchants with access to Coinbase custodial accounts.
Community banks in the US typically have less than $10 billion in total assets, according to the announcement. This partnership comes as some of the largest US banks are experimenting with stablecoin infrastructure.
