Coinbase and Webull Expand Crypto Partnership to Canada

Coinbase and Webull have expanded their crypto infrastructure partnership to Canada. The agreement will provide Canadian users of the Webull platform with access to Coinbase's liquidity and custody services.

The partnership, which already covers the US, Brazil, and Australia, is a key move for both companies as they seek to capitalize on growing demand for cryptocurrency in Canada.

According to recent data, 25% of Canadians now own crypto, up from just 10% in 2023. Webull's Canadian arm, Webull Canada Crypto Limited, will be regulated by the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), but it's worth noting that assets held through the platform are not covered by CIPF protection.
