Coinbase Axes DAI Support on Three Networks Amid Consolidation Efforts
Coinbase is discontinuing support for DAI deposits and withdrawals on three networks: Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Optimism. The change will take effect on August 17, 2026.
The stablecoin DAI, issued by MakerDAO, will still be supported on Ethereum's mainnet, but users who have been routing it through the affected networks will need to adjust their workflow.
This isn't a delisting of trading pairs, but rather a narrowing of infrastructure pipes. Coinbase first flagged the change in July 2026 and dropped another reminder on August 12 as the deadline approaches.
Users holding DAI on these networks have two options: bridge their tokens to Ethereum before the cutoff or find alternative routes for managing their assets.
